ENGL 3360:

I really loved the article about adult literacy.  It made me think about how we need to be literate for any occupation.  The story of Gary was very interesting to me because he was a self employed landscaper.  He needed to make his business grow and he did it by reading a variety of books.  He got many different ideas from these books that benefited his marketing strategies.  The power of the book is so amazing.  As for the second article titled The Neglected "R" wasn't all that interesting to me.  I did find the articles from the children to be very moving.  Some comments made in the article were very true like the section that commented on America's children not writing well.  I agreed with what the article had to say but I just couldn't follow it.
